TRANSPARENCY & TRUST

Affiliate Disclosure

Honesty is the foundation of everything I share here. If I recommend a product, I want you to know exactly why — and whether I stand to earn from your purchase. You deserve that transparency, always.

The Short Version, Plainly Stated

Everyday Wellness Essentials participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that some of the links on this website are affiliate links — and if you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at absolutely no extra cost to you.

I only ever recommend products I genuinely believe in. Affiliate commissions help me keep this blog free, continue creating evidence-based content, and invest in resources that serve this community. Your trust is worth more to me than any commission.

The bottom line: My recommendations are always honest. My opinions are always my own. A commission never changes what I say.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a way for content creators like me to earn a small referral fee when a reader purchases a product through a special tracking link on my site. It works like this:

  1. I research, use, and genuinely recommend a product that I believe supports your wellness

  2. I include a special affiliate link to that product on my website

  3. If you click the link and make a purchase within a certain time window, the retailer pays me a small commission — typically between 1% and 10% of the sale price

  4. You pay the exact same price you would pay going directly to the retailer. The commission comes from the retailer’s side, never from an increase in your price

Important:Affiliate commissions do not influence my recommendations, my opinions, or the content of this blog. I would share everything I recommend here regardless of whether I earn anything from it. If I do not love a product, I will not link to it — period.

Affiliate Programs I Participate In

I am transparent about every affiliate relationship on this site. The following are the affiliate programs and networks I currently participate in or may participate in:

My Promise to You

My credibility with you is far more valuable than any commission I could earn. These are the commitments I make to every reader of this blog:

This list may be updated as partnerships change. If you ever want to know whether a specific link is an affiliate link, please feel free to contact me directly and I will tell you honestly.

How to Identify Affiliate Links on This Site

I believe in making it as easy as possible for you to know when a link is an affiliate link. Here is how I disclose affiliate links across the site:

Disclosure Methods Used on This Site

  • Top-of-page disclosure bar: Every blog post and page containing affiliate links displays a clear notice at the very top of the page before any content

  • In-text disclosure: Product recommendations within articles include a note such as “affiliate link” or “I earn a small commission at no cost to you” immediately following the link

  • Product callout boxes: When I feature a product in a dedicated recommendation box, the affiliate disclaimer appears directly below the purchase link

  • Shop and resources pages: Any page featuring multiple product recommendations will display a prominent disclosure at the top

  • Social media: When sharing affiliate links on Instagram, Pinterest, or Facebook, I include #ad or #affiliate in the caption as required by FTC guidelines

If you are ever unsure: Assume that any link to a product on an external retailer website (Amazon, a brand’s website, etc.) may be an affiliate link. When in doubt, please feel free to search for the product directly on the retailer’s website. I will never be offended — your comfort with this arrangement matters more than the commission.

How I Select Products to Recommend

As a licensed psychotherapist, my professional reputation is deeply tied to the quality and integrity of everything I share. My product selection process reflects that commitment.

What I Consider Before Recommending Any Product

  • Evidence base: Does scientific or clinical research support the claims made about this product? For supplements especially, I look for peer-reviewed evidence, not just marketing claims.

  • Quality and safety: Is this product from a reputable manufacturer? For supplements, do they use third-party testing for purity and potency?

  • Clinical relevance: Is this something I would discuss with a client or recommend in a professional context? If not, it does not belong on this site.

  • Value: Does this product represent good value for what it delivers? I do not recommend premium-priced products that are not worth the price.

  • Alignment with our mission: Does this product genuinely support the wellness and wellbeing of the women who read this blog?

What I Will Never Recommend

  • Products that make unsupported health or medical claims

  • Supplements with poor quality control or unknown manufacturing standards

  • Products I would not feel comfortable recommending to a client

  • Products purely because they offer a high commission rate

  • Products I have not personally used or thoroughly researched

  • Products that contradict evidence-based clinical guidance

A Note on Supplements

Supplements are among the most commonly recommended products on wellness sites and among the most poorly regulated. I take supplement recommendations especially seriously because of this. Any supplement I recommend on this site is accompanied by the following disclaimer: the information is educational, it is not a substitute for medical advice, and you should always consult your physician before starting any supplement — particularly if you have existing health conditions or take prescription medications.

FTC Compliance & Legal Disclosure

This disclosure is made in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, specifically the FTC’s “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising” (16 CFR Part 255), which require bloggers and content creators to clearly disclose material connections to brands and products they recommend.

Under FTC guidelines, a “material connection” includes receiving compensation (such as an affiliate commission), free products, or any other benefit that could affect the credibility of an endorsement. I am required to disclose these connections clearly and conspicuously, which this page and the per-post disclosures on this site are designed to do.

As an Amazon Associate, I am also required to comply with Amazon’s Operating Agreement, which includes specific disclosure requirements for affiliate links. You can read more about the Amazon Associates Program at affiliate-program.amazon.com.

Earnings Disclaimer

The affiliate income earned through this website is used to support the operational costs of running the blog, including hosting, design, research resources, and the time invested in creating free content for this community.

Affiliate marketing income is variable and unpredictable. I make no representations about the income generated by this site, and this disclosure is not an invitation for others to replicate my affiliate marketing approach with any expectation of specific results.

This website is operated as an educational resource first. Affiliate marketing is a secondary means of supporting that mission — not a business model that drives content decisions.
